Our Team
Psychotherapist
Matthew is an existential therapist who helps professionals, teens, young adults, and families navigate major life transitions, anxiety, grief, and self-defeating thought patterns, offering direct, values-driven guidance to help clients find clarity, rebuild self-worth, and reconnect with what actually matters to them.
Matthew's style is direct, straightforward, and open. Clients often appreciate his willingness to offer honest feedback as much as his empathy.
His work is grounded in an existential perspective. Rather than remaining focused only on the day-to-day stressors clients tend to fixate on, Matthew helps broaden the conversation to questions of meaning, values, choice, identity, and what a genuinely worthwhile life looks like for each person.
He draws from Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, and systemic family therapy, and often incorporates philosophical ideas, reframing, and broader perspectives to help clients see themselves and their circumstances through a wider, nonjudgmental lens.
Matthew's path into therapy began with personal grief that led him to search for a deeper understanding of life. Through that experience, he came to recognize the importance of staying connected to one's values and making decisions from a place of emotional honesty.
That exploration continues to influence both his personal life and his clinical work, including his belief that wrestling with larger questions about the human condition can help people find greater balance in their relationships and within themselves.
Matthew trained in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern California and holds advanced training in DBT, CBT, and Solution-Focused approaches.
